November 15, 2020: Capacity Interactive recently held its Boot Camp 2020 to examine the most pressing issues facing the arts today. This year, due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the two-day event was virtual, bringing together arts leaders to explore a broad array of issues, including rethinking how to connect to audiences; digital platform programming; equity and inclusion, leadership and wellness.
One of the most popular and dynamic panels of Boot Camp 2020 was titled “Leading through Chaotic Times.” It featured: Betty Avila, Executive Director of Self Help Graphics & Art; Terri Lee Freeman, President of the National Civil Rights Museum; Anna Glass, Executive Director of the Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Jennifer Zaslow, who is an Executive Coach. They discussed what they’ve learned as leaders of arts organizations navigating the turbulent times of 2020, which have forever changed the landscape of the arts.
Capacity Interactive recorded the panel and it is now available to hear via this podcast link. I encourage you to listen to this session as a benchmark for your efforts to navigate these chaotic times, and I hope will find it insightful, encouraging, and inspirational.
As always, I would like to know what you think. Please share your comments below.
